Hike with a Cause

One of my cousin‘s classmates, Joe Frambach, will start his thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail on May 1st of this year. He’s hiking to raise funding and awareness for Gilda’s Club Western Pennsylvania, an organization which provides emotional support for families affected by cancer.
**3/31/2008 Note** – Yeah, I’m not sure how to update the below paragraph. I still love the AT and dogs, so I’ll let it stick. 🙂
I love the Appalachian Trail, I absolutely adore dogs and I certainly don’t mind deducting charitable donations from my taxes. With the exception of the last part about taxes, I have plenty of pictures to support my claims (Pictures about taxes tend to be boring).

Vicky can actually be quite deceiving. She secretly has a stuff animal that looks just like her dog. Does a little Gimp (down with photoshop), and yields such incredible life like pics as the one you see here.

@geekhiker – Jimmie has always naturally been a great poser for pictures. Henry (the beagle) is not. Henry hiking pictures are usually the result of excessive shots and/or pure luck.
And that may explain why the “jimmie” tag on my Flickr site has twice as many pictures as the “henry” tag. 🙂
Now, sometimes I do help the photo cause out. Any of the Jimmie overlook pictures where he is looking out (like the one above or at War Spur)– he is doing on his own. The ones where he is sitting or looking at the camera, I typically tell him to “Stay” (like you see on Flat Top Mountain – https://tgaw.wordpress.com/2006/09/30/flat-top-mountain/)

Lol. Its cool. No need to play it off as a joke. Your secret is out and you can no longer deny it. I was thinking of throwing you an intervention or something anyway. Probably better to do it here, where we can be lazy and not leave our homes.
